These compact commercial ice makers are designed to fit seamlessly under countertops, providing a dependable supply of ice without occupying valuable floor space. Unlike modular ice machines, which pair a separate ice-making head with a standalone storage bin for higher output, an undercounter ice maker combines both the ice-making head and storage bin into one self-contained unit that fits neatly beneath a standard bar or kitchen counter. Each model consistently produces crystal-clear ice suited to beverages, food displays, and cooling applications, with easy-to-clean stainless steel construction, intuitive controls, and energy-efficient performance built for continuous daily use.
At Ben's Hospitality Equipment, we stock a wide range of under bench ice machines and undercounter ice makers producing between 20kg and 120kg of ice per 24 hours depending on the model. Available ice types include nugget, cube, half cube, dice, crescent, bullet, and chewable. The most popular choices for bars and restaurants in Australia are crescent cube ice from Hoshizaki and hollow cube ice from Bromic, both slow-melting and crystal clear. Our range is also sourced from Manitowoc and Ice-O-Matic.
Most undercounter ice makers require a water line connection and a drain. There are two drainage types to consider: a gravity drain, where the outlet sits above the floor drain level, and a pump drain, which pumps water upward and suits installations where a floor drain is not conveniently located below the unit. Always factor in your kitchen layout and ambient temperature, as hot Australian summers can reduce ice output by 10 to 20 percent compared to the rated capacity.
