How to Choose the Right Commercial Pie Warmer

What size do you need?

Pie warmers are available in a range of capacities to suit different types of food businesses. A 30–50 pie unit is a good fit for a small café, food truck, or service station counter. If you're running a busy bakery, school canteen, or roadhouse, a 60–100 pie model keeps you stocked through the rush without constant restocking. For high-volume venues, the Woodson Pro Series goes all the way up to 200 pies.

Benchtop or freestanding?

Most of our pie warmers are benchtop units. They sit on your counter and don't take up floor space. If you need a larger display that makes a statement on the shop floor, check out our freestanding heated food displays.

Do you need a humidified pie warmer?

Standard pie warmers use dry heat to hold food at a safe temperature (usually between 60°C and 80°C). A humidified model, like the Bonvue HWD-158, adds moisture to the cabinet, which helps keep pastry from drying out during longer hold times. This is worth considering if you're displaying products for more than a couple of hours at a stretch.

Important food safety note: Commercial pie warmers are designed for hot-holding only, not cooking. Food must be pre-heated to above 65°C before loading into the unit.
